I shall try to blog about my experience in my industrial attachment on a day by day basis, let's see how things go.

We started of by having setting up our sign in procedures (thumbprint to sign in etc) and briefed us for a moment before we went to the Housekeeping Department.

Most of the room attendants are not very fluent in English but they're like a boss when they show you their skills in tidying and making up the room. Normally for us we'll take about 30-40 or even longer to clean 1 room. They can finish it within 10-20min. Like omg.

So I was tagged to this female lady called Ashley (wonders if that English name was made up >.>)

Although we had a bit of communication problem since my Chinese is horrible, she was really efficient in guiding me throughout the cleaning process. Since it was my first day, she told me to just watch her clean the room and ask any questions. So I followed her to 5 rooms that she was cleaning and we even got tips ^^. Their bed making skills.. oh my gosh. Less than 10 minutes. Holy shit.

After she's done cleaning all the assigned rooms, she brought me to the pantry room to rest, while she does some chores in the pantry.

Fire drill was tiring. I had to climb down the stairs from 30th level =.=

Then we stand in the hot sun for a while, short debrief and we went back to our respective floors.

Then we did a short tour around the hotel. The hotel lobby is very grand. Hopefully I can get some pictures soon. Did some turndown service and off we go!

That's all for my day 1. Quite tiring though. Hope I can survive my 6 months ._.
